The page says “in stock”. Your store says sold out.
Up’n’Top reads your WooCommerce catalog — prices and stock — and compares it with what customers see on each product page. When they differ, you get the product, both values and the fix.
Our own algorithm, built on years of hands-on work growing real websites.
What Up’n’Top checks on WooCommerce
- The price on the product page against the price in your catalog: a difference of more than one cent is a problem.
- Stock: “in stock” on the page while the catalog has none, and the other way round.
- Missing or zero prices, a price that changed by more than half, an old price that is not higher than the new one.
- Products sold out for more than 30 days that are still in your menu and open to Google.
- Product pages without product markup: without it, the price on the page cannot be read by search engines or by us.
- Everything Up’n’Top does for WordPress: PHP errors and update checks with the plugin, plugin vulnerabilities and exposed files.
How to connect
Add your store’s address. Up’n’Top recognises WooCommerce and reads products, prices and stock through the public Store API — no key needed.
Optional: install the upntop-monitor plugin for update checks and PHP errors.
Optional: add a read-only REST API key to see orders and revenue by day and get an alert when orders fall below usual.
Under the hood
A lot happens before you get a message. All of it is our own work.
Prices are compared in your store’s currency, to the cent.
Pages that earn money — home, cart, products in stock — are checked more often.
Only changed products are read: we ask WooCommerce what changed since last time.
The catalog is re-read every hour, less often while nothing changes, and new products are checked straight away.
Questions
Do I need an API key?
No. Products, prices and stock come from the public WooCommerce Store API. A read-only key is needed only for orders and revenue.
What if my theme shows the price with a script?
We read the price from the product markup on the page. If a page has no markup, you get a problem with the fix instead of a silent miss.
Do you see my customers?
No. The read-only key gives us totals by day; we do not read customers or order lines.
Will the checks slow my store down?
No. We make at most 2 requests per second, one at a time, and back off when your server asks us to.
